About Tangled up in Blue
Tangled Up in Blue is an eclectic food & wine bar located in Taylors Falls, Minnesota. Executive Chef Ross Reed has been with the restaurant since August, 2006 and officially took over ownership in January of 2007. He has created a unique menu of french influenced cuisine with a midwestern feel, options range from traditional French such as Scallops St. Jacque to a Midwestern classic such as Sirloin Stroganoff. Chef Ross, originally from Gillette, Wyoming, moved to South Dakota in 2001 where he worked running a restaurant until 2003 when he moved to Minnesota to attend culinary school at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu. He honed his skills in various establishments such as the Palomino in Minneapolis. At the age of 26 he is now the owner of this hidden gem in Taylors Falls. His mission is to provide guests with a complete experience, and not just "something to eat".
Do not be surprised if he comes to chat with you at your table when you are in, just to make sure everything was perfect.
Tangled up in Blue Reviews
"Tangled up in Blue is a one of a kind destination restaurant. Less than an hour from Minneapolis it is well worth the trip. My husband and I have come in for dinner a few times and have had an amazing time every time."
"I don't think you can compare this restaurant to any other in the area. The food at Blue was excellent and creative. The staff was very helpful and fun. The environment was also creative and enjoyable. We had the Walleye cakes and the rigatoni, both were perfect. The sauces were a compliment to the meal and did not overtake them. The wine selections were excellent, the chef came out to ensure the meal was perfect and the deserts, well, they topped off the night. I strongly recommend this place to any couple looking for a special night and dining experience in Taylors Falls."
